My latest trip was just recently to hawaii which is crazy to say because I always had this bucket list of places I wanted to go and things I wanted to do before I died and going to hawaii was always at the top of the list. I finally made it to one of the biggest places my younger self dreamed of.
I did this trip with my family during my sisters spring break and we decided to see all of the islands on a cruise. We flew into honolulu and got onto the ship. I think it was a great way to get to see every island and it is probably the most cost effective way to do it as well.

We first got to see Maui and I can say it was not exactly like I pictured it in my head but it was so beautiful and everyone in all of the Islands seemed so care free and down to earth. We rented a car in Maui and in most of the other Islands and it was a good way to get around to everything without paying for a tour each day especially being with my family since there is 4 of us. We started off going to the Haleakala National Park and got to see the crater that was there. If you have never seen a crater before it is massive and it is definitely worth seeing at least once in your life somewhere.

I recommend stopping in the town of Paia if you can it is super cute with different beach stores, restaurants & bars, coffee shops, acai bowl places, and even a cute little grocery store you can grab some snacks at. Ho'okipa beach was nearby it was very pretty even in the weather we had which really was not the best. You can see surfers and people gliding through the water and it was very peaceful. The eucalyptus rainbow trees were also something we saw which were like no other they are these trees with literal rainbow colors as the bark it was super cool but it is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We also tried to see a waterfall but it closed before we could go in.

The next day we went to Maluaka beach which was gorgeous and I believe its a volcano or crater you can see from it which makes it unique. I highly suggest this on a sunny day. We hopped around at few breweries and coffee shops nearby and there were many nice areas with shops and things all around.

After this we went to Hilo which is on the big island. The Hilo farmers market was something I am really glad we went to and we even got a huge avocado it was as big as my head almost!! And at a good price you have to try it if you go. We saw a few waterfalls and of course chickens!! If you didnt know hawaii is known for them being all around. We also went to another National park to see the Kilauea crater and were told it really could erupt at any minute which was scary but interesting to go and see.
We saw many turtles on this trip just laying out and swimming at the beach. There are special beaches where they are usually always at like the Punalu'u Black Sand Beach in Hilo and at Poipu Beach in Kauai. This is a need to see there are just so many of them and it is everything to see in person.

In Kauai the little town Koloa is super cute and has so many different shops and little places to go I really did enjoy it a lot. On the other side of Kauai there is Hanalei bay which I have always heard of and was really excited to go to. You can see waterfalls from the beach there too. The Ching Young Village is close by and if you like Poke then Hanalei Poke is a stop you have to make because wow, amazing is all I can say.
Honolulu was definetly my favorite just because of the things we did here. We swam and tanned at Wakiki beach, it was really packed but I have also always heard of it so we had to go.
Whatever you do do not go to a luau right in Wakiki. We ended up doing exactly that and it was god awful. I think it was called queens luau but it was in a mall and was just not authentic at all. I reccomend booking when you get there and finding one mroe authenitic and on the beach. Kith is an ice cream shop in Wakiki, go there, literally go there. I really wanted froyo one night and then we ended up there and it is like toppings mixed into ice cream with toppings on top it was everything.

The next day and last day was my absolute favorite. My dad and I went shark diving around 10am. We did the shark diving in a cage but I have also heard just doing the dive cageless was like no other too. I feel like it is something that seems so scary but ends up being so serine and cool in retrospect. There is more on just this in my more recent shark diving post if you are curious! We also did a submarine right after it was me, my sister, and my dad which was some
thing I think is very one of a kind because how many times is there a submarine available for you to go on in your life. We went around 110ft deep and we saw mainly fish but apparently people have seen sharks, manta rays, and some other big sea creatures in there pretty often.

Hawaii is such a pretty place but it does teach you to be kind to all the plants and animals because there is so much beauty in them all. It was a place I had always wanted to go and we did have a bit of a rainy trip but there was something so majestic and carefree about it. It was someplace where when I got there I understood why I wanted so badly to go.
There is a lot to do and it is a place full of chickens and turtles if you look out for them!!
